My kitchen: There are 2 ways to access my kitchen - through the spice kitchen or through the family room. The room is divided into two sections by an L-shaped counter that doubles up as an island. There are 4 bar stools on one side of the island and a stone-top dinette with six chairs on the other side. In the cooking space, the range is set in the middle of the longer wall, with the kitchen sink to the right. On the left side is a pantry and plenty of cupboards and drawers. The refrigerator is immediately to the left of the pantry with more cupboards and counter space. The microwave is situated among these cupboards. Above the sink, there's a mid-sized window on which I have several different spices growing in pots on the windowsill. The walls are painted salmon to match the counter tops and the cupboards are a dark oak. All the fixtures and gadgets are stainless steel and black. It is one of my favourite rooms in the home because I enjoy cooking.
